Sara Milenkovska

Sara Milenkovska is a researcher, feminist and a co-founder of the Stella Network, a CSO working towards gender equality. With a background in gender studies, political science and strategic communications, she holds a Master of Science in Gender, Politics and Inequality from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master in Strategic Communications from IKS Skopje.

Her research delves into the heart of systemic inequality, exploring intersectionality, countering anti-gender movements, and amplifying the voices of marginalized groups, especially in the face of (digital) gender-based violence. As a scholar and practitioner, Sara’s approach is grounded in praxis, leveraging feminist principles for tangible political advocacy and community empowerment. As Program Manager of Stella Network, she spearheads initiatives that provide mentorship and support for women and girls, recognizing the transformative power of solidarity networks.

As a Chevening Scholarship recipient, she has leveraged her platform to launch #SpodeliAvtorka (Share a Woman Author), addressing the scarcity of feminist literature by donating over 2500 books in Macedonia. Through her multifaceted work, Sara Milenkovska exemplifies the power of activism, academia, and community engagement in driving positive social change.
