Award-winning designer Courtney Skott combines an unusual array of approaches, interests and skills in her work on furniture and environmental projects, which showcase her love of modernism and sustainable materials. Her strong color sensibility, combined with a meticulous attention to finishes, patterns, layers and texture, was a driving force in her work as Lead Designer for Materials & Environments at Coalesse, a division of Steelcase. Her work has been shown at The Museum of Craft and Folk Art, LIMN Gallery, and the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design, and published in Surface Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, Design*Sponge, and MocoLoco. Her collectible furniture pieces are also held in several notable private art collections.
