DOKU.TECH 11th Edition at Dokufest

The 11th edition of DOKU.TECH to its mother festival Dokufest will bring a higher focus on the intersection of art and technology under the theme “Bringing the Future Closer, Together”.

The program is planned for August 3 – 4, 2024, at the premises of Innovation and Training Park (ITP), Prizren.

  • Keynote Talk – TECH will bring to Prizren Dr. Ahmed Elgammal who is a professor at the Department of Computer Science and an Executive Council Faculty at the Center for Cognitive Science at Rutgers University. He is the founder and director of the Art and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Rutgers. Dr. Elgammal is also the founder of Playform AI, a platform for making AI accessible for artists. His talk will be focused on the art in the age of AI.
  • Panel discussion “: “The Convergence of Art and Technology: Shaping the Future of Creative Expression” –The goal of this panel is to inspire and inform young Kosovars about the potential of integrating technology with art. By showcasing real-world examples and expert insights, we aim to demystify complex technologies and encourage the audience to explore new ways of creative
    expression. This discussion will also highlight the importance of staying grounded and empathetic in the face of rapid technological advancements, ensuring that the human element remains central in artistic endeavors.
  • DokuKids Workshops – as part of the DokuKids Program, we will run two workshop sessions “Accelerate Your Data Science and AI Journey,” an intensive two-day workshop designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to data science and artificial intelligence.
